Typico Green

It is high time that our industry of textile communication and visual marketing set out on the path to more sustainability. It's a path that we embarked on with TYPICO several years ago and one that we take seriously. Not only because it is trendy, but because we want to live up to our responsibility as a company.

SUSTAINABILITY
CREATE VALUE.

It is not without reason that our industry focuses mainly on raw materials and supplies that should be as sustainable as possible. The ingredients from which our products are made are match-winners when it comes to improving sustainability. Typico can offer the following highlights:

  • Water-based and thus solvent-free large-format printing using the dye-sublimation process.
  • Production on 100 % PVC-free substrates such as tarpaulins, mesh, deco fabrics, films and paper – “Typico Green Series”.
  • Production on 100 % recycled fabrics, i.e. materials that have already been made from recycled materials, such as old PET bottles – “Typico Green Series”.
  • System profiles and connection techniques that are designed for x-times reuse and that fit all system profiles.
  • Support materials in all material categories that are foldable and can be transported and reused with a small volume – “Typico Foldable Series”.
  • As a matter of principle, only materials that can be fed into a controlled recycling process are used. (offcuts & returned products.

SUSTAINABILITY
CREATE EFFICIENCY.

Packaging and logistics have a very special significance in the fields of textile architecture and visual marketing. The reason is obvious. In the vast majority of cases, we produce prototypes. Branding for trade fair stands, congresses, events, museums or facades and illuminated ceilings for special buildings. All projects have one thing in common, they are unique.

Their large image and textile productions are correspondingly different. There are no standardised packaging sizes and concepts that can be designed once for many thousands of pieces, as with a serial product. What helps is a setting of packaging materials and technology and a logistics process which meets the requirements of the market and can still be operated sustainably. Highlights are as follows:

  • We produce a separate box for each package on an internal system (Packsize). This reduces the amount of cardboard boxes required and at the same time reduces the volume of the packages to the absolute minimum.
  • We primarily use packaging materials that already consist of recycled raw materials and place the highest value on optimised packaging, without unnecessary use of materials.
  • On request, we produce in digital printing on foldable carrier materials that do not have to be shipped rolled on cardboard cores. This saves up to 80% of the packaging volume.

As a matter of principle, only materials that can be fed into a controlled recycling process are used (offcuts & returned products). In addition, the focus in production is on 100% PVC-free carrier materials such as tarpaulins, mesh, deco fabrics, films and paper - "Typico Green Series".

In 2012, the planning of the Typico site and the company building was mainly based on wood. To create maximum value, attention was paid to energy-efficient construction, machinery that increases the efficiency of the building and an environment that blends in with Vorarlberg's beautiful natural surroundings.
